The month of June is full of ways to help The Food Depot!
Centurylink’s annual Backpack Buddies virtual food drive. Donate through their webpage, https://donate.networkforgood.org/centurylink, and they’ll match the donation. (The site isn’t live until June 5.)
On June 10:
• Come visit us at the St. Elizabeth’s Shelter’s Superhero Walk from 9 a.m. to noon at the Santa Fe Railyard Park. There will be live music, a marching band, a post-run Breakfast Burrito Bash, and lots of fun, family-friendly activities!
• Seventh Ray Skin Care will be celebrating their 25th anniversary with a Customer Appreciation Celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.! When you bring a full bag of groceries to donate to The Food Depot, you’ll receive 20% off a $30 (or more) purchase.
• If you’re in Los Alamos, come see us at the Los Alamos Chamberfest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be lots of businesses and nonprofits, music and fun activities.
It’s Build Day for Canstruction® Santa Fe 2017! Come to Santa Fe Place to check out seven area teams build sculptures made out of cans of food in this friendly competition! The build will start at approximately 8 a.m. and continue for several hours until the teams are finished. Vote for your favorite until June 21 in the People’s Choice category! Also, go to any of The Food Depot and Canstruction Santa Fe’s social media pages to give a “like” or “follow.” For every new like between June 1-30, The Food Depot’s Board of Directors will donate $3 to support this year’s event, up to $1,000!
This is national radio’s Field Day, and The Food Depot is the area site for this year’s event, hosted by the Santa Fe Amateur Radio Emergency Services (SFARES). This free and family-friendly event from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m., will display technical skills, radio science and emergency preparedness. There will also be non-perishable food items collected for The Food Depot during this event.
